The eighth question: Regarding the December rate cut, if not due to a lack of data, what other reasons would prevent a rate cut in December?
Powell's answer: We have already cut rates by 150 basis points. Many people expect interest rates to be between 3% and 4%. There are different opinions within the Fed regarding whether there is a downside risk in the labor market. There is a significant disagreement, and it is not necessarily the case that the labor market or inflation will dominate. We have already cut rates by 50 basis points, so I think we should slow down a bit.
