According to Politico, Kevin Warsh, President Trump's nominee for Federal Reserve Chair, will attend his nomination hearing before the Senate Banking Committee on April 16.

Media reports indicate that the U.S. Treasury Department has made Warsh's nomination a top priority. Derek Theurer, Deputy Under Secretary for Congressional Affairs responsible for Warsh's nomination, has been fully committed to the process.

Since returning to the White House, Trump has consistently expressed dissatisfaction with current Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. In January of this year, he nominated Walsh to succeed Powell.

However, on the same day, a US judge rejected the Trump administration's request to reinstate subpoenas against Powell. Nick Timiraos, a well-known financial journalist often referred to as the "new Fed mouthpiece," stated that this ruling paves the way for Pirro to appeal to a higher court. However, such an appeal could delay the confirmation of Warsh's appointment as Fed chair.

Jerome Powell's term as Federal Reserve Chairman expires next month. However, Powell stated in March that if Walsh is not confirmed as Fed Chairman by the time his term expires in May, he will continue to serve as Fed Chairman, as required by law.
