In May 2024, pump.fun was hacked, with attackers stealing approximately $2 million worth of SOL and a large amount of meme coins. At the time, the attackers claimed they would randomly airdrop these funds to players on Solana, earning them the nickname "Robin Hood of the crypto world."
Jarett Dunn (online name Stacc), an attacker and former employee of pump.fun, was sentenced to six years in prison by a judge in London last December.

Two days ago, he exposed a large number of his Telegram chat logs from when he was still at pump.fun.
So I spent a lot of time going through these chat logs one by one. To be honest, I was completely baffled after reading them, because these logs didn't contain the malicious content I had imagined, such as the pump.fun team manipulating liquidity or stealing user fees. Nor did they contain any information about founder Alon or other team members having serious ethical issues.
But in his tweet, Jarett Dunn described himself as a whistleblower, viewing his exposure as a form of "righteous self-destruction." When someone expressed the same question in his comments section, this was his response:

"These records show that I told them twice that they had to complete the KYC/AML process before they could stream on the platform (but they ignored me), and then we all know what happened in the end (referring to the early rampant and unscrupulous live streaming on pump.fun)."
If there's some merit to this accusation, the next accusation is a bit of a leap:
"An employee said in the group: His friend is already looking for models, and he'll start doing porn as soon as pump.fun goes live."
The chat logs corresponding to this accusation are as follows. First, Sapijiju, co-founder of pump.fun, shared a Twitch streamer in the pump.fun company group, saying that another Twitch streamer had issued tokens through pump.fun. An employee stated that this streamer was a rugger who had rugged 5 tokens yesterday.

Then the employee mentioned that his friend was looking for "models" (to do the same thing). In context, this seemed more like a joke. However, Jarett Dunn's suggestion was indeed interspersed, expressing his belief that partnering with a live streaming platform would be better, avoiding the responsibility of KYC and significantly reducing the time needed for pump.fun to launch its live streaming feature.

The real accusation here is that the entire team knew this was a serial rugger, yet still acted nonchalantly and joked around. Alon, as a co-founder, stated in the record that he "felt he had seen her profile before," and then nothing happened.

There are also records showing pump.fun's early "makeshift" state. For example, to cope with investor pressure (needing to show investors how many employees the company had), they still had to produce a contract even though they felt the contract itself was "a pile of crap." But at the same time, they were also hiring lawyers to draft a new one. For the then "young" pump.fun, it's hard to say what kind of negative information this is.

The most explosive revelation in Jarett Dunn's disclosures was probably the release of the phone numbers associated with alon and Sapijiju's Telegram accounts. Due to privacy concerns, these screenshots will not be included in this article.
So what kind of deep-seated grudge could there be? I can't find the beginning of the feud between Jarett Dunn and pump.fun in the records, but he was a talented programmer who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 20.
Two years ago, when he attacked pump.fun, his mother had recently passed away. At that time, he had only been a member of pump.fun for six weeks.
Four days after the attack, he was arrested at a hotel just 90 meters from pump.fun's London offices, where he was staying. Following his arrest, he was deemed unfit for questioning by police and sent to a hospital for two weeks of mental health treatment, after having stopped taking medication for several months.
He attempted to withdraw his guilty plea at a sentencing hearing two months later, a sudden change of heart that angered his legal team.
In September 2023, he tweeted, "I'm homeless and ready to sleep in the park, battling 5G and the bugs I've created."

The records show that pump.fun reimbursed his airfare, allowing him to fly from Canada to the UK. Was he happy and fulfilled at that time?
Faced with such a complex and eventful programmer, I can only sigh at the harsh realities of life.
